Remarkable Pair of Tessuto Globe table lamps by Enrico Tronconi, Made in Murano - 1970s
Pair of beautiful “Tessuto” globe lamps by Enrico Tronconi. Transparent and milky Murano blown glass and brass disk. Shapes, colors and materials recalls the works of Venini. The “Tessuto” is a technique invented by Carlo Scarpa for Venini & C in the late 30s. It is based on the traditional 'Filigrana' technique. Thin glass rods of different colours are joined together into thicker rods. Then they are cut into pieces, butt-jointed on a metal plate, melted and then shaped.
