SPORANGIA HYBRIDA, 2024 - 50 x 64.5 cm - Cyanotype and IKB on coloured paper.

Cyanotype prints on coloured paper of plants found in my garden. Composed in a way that illuminates the potential of hybridization in nature through crossbreeding. A method commonly used during the 19th century.
To keep the composition clean and pure, I have added raised dots in Klein Blue around the edges of the leaf motifs. They represent spores that sometimes can be found on the back of some leaves and ferns.
Like most of my other pieces the IKB is used as a highlighting element so as to not overwhelm the essence of color and shape.
